Your GDPR Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD), you have meaningful rights over your personal data. This page explains each right in plain language and tells you exactly how to use it.
1. Overview
Hirrd is the data controller for the personal data you provide when using our platform. We are operated from Spain, EU. Your GDPR rights apply to all personal data we hold about you, regardless of where you are based within the EU/EEA.
All rights requests are handled by our data protection team at privacy@hirrd.com. We will respond within 30 days as required by GDPR Article 12(3). In complex cases we may extend this by a further two months but will inform you within the first 30 days.

3. How to Submit a Data Request
To exercise any of the rights above, you can:
- Use your account settings — access, portability, and deletion are available directly from Settings without contacting us.
- Email us at privacy@hirrd.com for any other request or if you prefer not to use the self-service options.
When emailing, please include:
- Your full name and the email address associated with your Hirrd account.
- The specific right you want to exercise.
- Any relevant context to help us identify the data concerned.
We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request — this is to protect your data from unauthorised access.
4. Response Timeframe
| Stage | Timeframe | Legal Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Initial response / acknowledgement | As soon as possible, within 30 days | GDPR Art. 12(3) |
| Extension for complex or multiple requests | Up to 2 additional months (with notice within 30 days) | GDPR Art. 12(3) |
| Account deletion (data purge) | Within 30 days of confirmed request | GDPR Art. 17 |
We will always confirm receipt of your request by email and keep you updated if anything takes longer than expected.
5. Data Portability — Download Your Data
You can download a copy of all personal data we hold about you in JSON format directly from your account:
Settings → Download My Data
The export includes your account profile, application history, uploaded CVs and cover letters, and preference data.
If you cannot access your account or prefer to receive the export by email, contact us at privacy@hirrd.com.
6. Lodge a Complaint with the AEPD
If you believe Hirrd has not handled your personal data in compliance with GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish supervisory authority — the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD). We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue, but this is not a requirement.
